Packaging Mechanic
FlexTrades is hiring experienced Packaging Mechanics for nationwide contract work, with current openings in Vermont, New York, and Maine. If you’re a mechanical maintenance professional with food manufacturing experience and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment, we want to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and pneumatic maintenance (no electrical or hydraulic work)
- Work on equipment that mixes, compounds, liquifies, homogenizes, blends, heat treats, cools, evaporates, and dries ingredients
- Maintain and repair pumps, valves, pipes, heat exchangers, and dryers
- Perform both reactive and preventive maintenance—no installations or rebuilds
- Focus on componentry including:
- Valves, O-rings, gaskets, pumps, cables, filters
- Rotary air locks, sanitary valves and actuators
- Gear and belt-driven assemblies
- Belt and chain conveyors
