NDT Inspector (Level III)
FlexTrades is seeking a highly skilled NDT Inspector III for nationwide assignments. This role requires expertise in Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant (Fluorescent Zyglo) inspections, with a preference for additional certification in Radiography (X-ray). As an NDT Inspector III, you will be responsible for performing and overseeing advanced non-destructive testing procedures, developing techniques, and ensuring compliance with ASNT and NAS 410 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant inspections at Level III.
- If certified, participate in developing and documenting techniques for Radiography (X-ray) inspections, ensuring optimal image definition, quality, and contrast.
- Provide proof of required hours and certifications as per ASNT and NAS 410 standards for Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, and Radiography inspections.
- Demonstrate at least 4 years of experience working at the Level II certification level, or equivalent education and experience as required for Level III certification.
- Ensure compliance with all client-specific requirements and details.
- Travel to various job sites across the nation and commit to assignments ranging from 60 days to 6 months.
- Work 2nd and 3rd shifts, including overtime (60 hours/week).
Qualifications:
- Level III certification in Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant inspections.
- Preferred: Level III certification in Radiography (X-ray).
- Proven experience meeting the required classroom and in-method hours for Level III certification under ASNT and NAS 410 standards.
- Ability to develop and document inspection techniques, particularly for Radiography, if applicable.
- Willingness to travel nationwide and commit to varying assignment durations.
- Flexibility to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, with overtime as required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay: $50/hour
- Guaranteed overtime paid at time and a half.
- Access to a comprehensive benefits package.
- Paid travel expenses to and from job sites (mileage reimbursed at $0.67/mile).
- Paid lodging (single-occupancy hotel room).
- Per diem ($50/day).
