CNC Programmer
FlexTrades is seeking experienced CNC Programmers to support manufacturing operations across the U.S. This role offers a unique opportunity to program advanced 5-axis Mill Turn machines while traveling to different job sites. Job Responsibilities
- Develop CNC programs for a DMG Mori Seiki NT1000, 5-axis Mill Turn with dual spindles and a single turret.
- Use GibbsCAM software to create detailed programs, ensuring precision in multi-axis machining.
- Work within a Windows-based controller environment (prior experience preferred).
- Convert between standard and metric measurements to meet job specifications.
- Read 2D prints only (no 3D models available).
- Ensure machining accuracy by considering metal machinability and appropriate tooling for each material.
- Provide detailed setup instructions to operators for efficient execution.
- Utilize Predator Program Database Manager for program qualification and final storage.
- Follow the provided prioritized part lists and program accordingly.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience programming 5-axis Mill Turn machines.
- Expertise in GibbsCAM or equivalent CAM software with strong G-code proficiency.
- Knowledge of machining different metals and their tool requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering prints.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate and efficient CNC programming.
- Experience working with Predator Program Database Manager is a plus.
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $48/hour
- Overtime: Guaranteed weekly OT paid at time and a half
- Travel Perks: Paid travel to and from job sites
- Lodging: Paid single-occupancy hotel room
- Per Diem: $45/day for meals and expenses
- Flexible Scheduling: Time off available between assignments
- Long-Term Assignments: Projects range from 3 months to 1 year
- Shift Availability: Must be open to 2nd and 3rd shifts, including OT (50+ hours/week)
