Aircraft Interior Technician

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform reconfiguration and rework of aircraft interiors, focusing on cabinetry and furniture assembly.
- Work with small, confined products requiring dexterity to fit into spaces as narrow as 8” width.
- Use glues, adhesives, and compounds to assemble cabinetry structures and apply finishing touches (handles, latches, hinges, lighting, and decorative elements).
- Surface materials include aluminum and honeycomb composites/phenolics.
- Apply adhesives with accuracy, ensuring even layers and proper structural bonding.
- Operate tools such as rivet guns, pneumatic tools, and bandsaws to complete finishing tasks.
- Follow prints, SOPs, and schematics to perform assembly tasks, maintaining high attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical assembly.
- Proficiency with adhesive mixing and application, especially under compaction for bonding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, SOPs, and schematics.
- Experience working with compounds and adhesives in bonding processes is required.
- Flexibility to work in small spaces, handle intricate tasks, and follow detailed work instructions.
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $40/hour.
- Overtime: Guaranteed overtime each week, paid at time and a half.
- Travel Expenses: Paid travel expenses to and from job sites (Mileage reimbursed at $0.67/mile).
- Lodging: Paid single-occupancy hotel room.
- Per Diem: $45/day.
- Flexibility to take time off between assignments.
- Assignment durations range from 3-6 months.
- Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, with overtime (50 hours per week).
