Project Estimator

Job Location
Nationwide travel position with potential job sites in Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia.
Job Summary
The Project Estimator will be responsible for generating detailed cost estimates for custom fabrication and machining projects. This includes reviewing designs, assessing manufacturing capability, and building quotes and routings using Syteline and Solidworks. You’ll also manage multiple simultaneous projects while providing technical support and process guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed cost estimates using Excel and Syteline ERP system
- Review manufacturing drawings and determine feasibility of complex weldments
- Interpret GD&T and provide manufacturability feedback
- Generate work instructions, tool lists, prints, BOMs, and routings in ERP system
- Utilize Solidworks for model review and quoting
- Manage multiple RFQs and projects in parallel
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and procurement teams
Candidate Requirements
- Proven understanding of fabrication, machining, and welding operations
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T and interpreting technical prints
- Experience with Solidworks, Microsoft Office Suite, and Syteline ERP
- Proficiency in using Excel for quotation and cost analysis
- Ability to develop full manufacturing routings and documentation in ERP systems
- Must be organized, self-directed, and capable of handling concurrent projects
- Must be able to travel and work on assignment from 3 months to 1 year
- Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shifts with 50+ hours/week
- Must pass a drug test
Compensation & Benefits
- $65/hour + guaranteed overtime paid at time and a half
